Who is responsible
The data controller for everything described here is Yiannis Zambas, trading as Switch Energy. For any question about your details, email us at hello@switch.cy.
What we keep
For now, the page is open only to people we’ve invited. When you enter with the access code, we keep your email and the time you entered. We also use a single cookie, so the page remembers that you gave the right code. The cookie is valid for 30 days.
While you read the page and use the calculator, we keep no other personal details. Your answers stay on your device.
If you press “Register interest”, we keep your name, your business, your email, your phone number if you enter it, your answers in the calculator (type of business, bill and amount) and the estimate you saw.
Why
To contact you when Switch launches and offer you our plan. Your answers also tell us what kinds of businesses are interested. We keep the email you enter at sign-in so we know who saw the page before we launch.
Legal basis
Your consent. You give it when you fill in the form and press “Register interest”. You can withdraw it whenever you like, with one email.
We keep the email you enter at sign-in on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing who visits a page open only to invited people. Without the cookie, sign-in doesn’t work.
Who sees it
Switch (Yiannis Zambas). Google, which receives the form through Sheets and Gmail, holds the list and sends the emails. Cloudflare, which hosts the page and checks the access code. Nobody else. We don’t give your details to other companies and we never sell them.
Where your details are kept
Google and Cloudflare may store data on servers outside the European Economic Area (EEA). That transfer takes place under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
For how long
Until Switch launches and we write to you, and at most twelve months from the day you sent them. Then we delete them. Sooner, if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your details. Email us at hello@switch.cy and we’ll do it within a week.
If you have a complaint
If you think we have handled your details wrongly, tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, which supervises us.
